Flying into Sydney at sunset~

Hey Weeb!! This one's for you!!!

Sydney celebrated our arrival with an impressive display of fireworks in the harbour! Well, that's our story and we are sticking to it!! ;) Here we are at the Sydney Harbour Bridgeand at the Sydney Opera House

Trying to figure out the city train... this just doesn't make sense!!! or maybe we can thumb a ride~

Here comes our ride! Toodle-oo!

Dinner the third night... we ate at La Trattoria which is the resort's Italian restaurant. This was the only restaurant that had a live band. Carrie dined on a Margarita Pizza while Kathy ate a Salmon dish.

Island Birds

One of the most amazing things to us was the wild island birds~ especially all of the cockatoos. We first came across a few after breakfast... little did Carrie know that she would be tongue~lashed and nearly fined for sharing a muffin...

one became very friendly with Carrie in hopes of scoring a bite~
Carrie is a sucker for a handsome begging bird!

Restaurant staff came out and sternly told Carrie to "Refrain from feeding the birds" and made references to the warnings...

... guess it would have been helpful had we seen the signs first!

These little buggers were everywhere! Here is one at a breakfast table...

amazingly we saw some actually in trees...

And then there we the not-so-abnoxious birds that were quiet and unassuming...

Dinner~ night two at La Fontaine~ the resort's French cuisine...
not too hungry after our "World's Largest Cocktail" at the pool today but we still managed to have some really good food. Carrie had a "made at your table" cesear salad and Kathy had a cheese soufl'ee and a salad. YUM!

Anyone looking for a pink flipper super model? Carrie is for hire.
